Tuesday, February 4:

• Warm-Up
• Check, share, and critique iambic pentameter lines
• Go over Sentence Structure Practice
• More Sentence Structure Practice

Wednesday, February 5:

• Warm-Up
• Notes: Sonnets
• Read and translate Sonnet 29 by William Shakespeare.  Translate all 14 lines to modern English.  Use a dictionary to learn the meanings of unknown vocabulary words.

Thursday, February 6:

• Warm-Up
• Work on Sonnet Assignment (due Wednesday, Feb. 12) and Shakespeare packet (due Monday, Feb. 10).

Friday, February 7:

• Non-Fiction Friday #1:
• Write responses to the questions (listed on the handout) for your article (15 mins)
• Whole-class discussion on a chosen student's article. You must speak at least once in order to receive full credit for the discussion portion of your grade.
