- Read "Creation and the Fall" aloud in class (p. 65)
Wednesday, September 10:
- Warm-Up
- Finish reading and discuss "Creation and the Fall" (p. 65)
- Notes: Parts of Speech (using Schoolhouse Rock). Additional notes/terminology will be added to the video notes.
- HW: Write a paragraph that explains how "Creation and the Fall" fits each of the criteria of a myth as described in your notes (you must use all of them). Remember: myth does not mean untruth! You must use evidence from the text to support your answer. Example: "Creation and the Fall" explains natural phenomenon. This is shown in the story when..." Due tomorrow!
Thursday, September 11:
- Warm-Up
- Turn in "Creation and the Fall" paragraph
- Finish Parts of Speech Notes
- Read "Noah and the Flood" (p. 70)
- HW: ePark login due tomorrow!
Friday, September 12:
- Warm-Up
- Finish reading "Noah and the Flood" aloud, then in groups
- Complete questions #2, 3, and show how the story fits two criteria of a myth, using evidence from the text.
