- Get your thesis statement approved by the end of the hour. Once it's approved, begin writing your topic sentences.
- HW: Work on your body paragraph outlines (in your essay packet)
Thursday, December 4:
- Pronoun Practice 1
- How to use Concrete Details in an Essay (in your essay packet)
- Demonstrate citations
- Practice citing lines in The Odyssey
- Work on finding quotes from The Odyssey for your essay. You need 2 quotes per body paragraph (for a total of 4 quotes). Make sure you include the background of the scene, the quote itself, and the proper citation.
Friday, December 5:
- Fiction Friday #5:
- Read your choice book. Continue to do so even after you finish your reading log.
- Complete your reading log: write one summary paragraph, one analytic paragraph, and one personal reaction paragraph. Follow the directions on the handout given to you. This is due at the end of the hour.
